About Terri Layton
I have been in the real estate arena for the last 28+ years and even earlier starting out at as a young teen working for an investor flipping homes at the coast, as a summer job. In 1992, I started investing in my own properties while working 2 jobs and going to night school. In 1992, I received my paralegal associates degree so I could work in the real estate law field. A better career opportunity placed me in executive management with US Bancorp Mortgage where I learned all about the mortgage loan process. In 1995, I moved to Southern California for an opportunity to manage plastic resin distribution and sales for MA Hanna in the states of California, Arizona and Oregon. In 2001, I returned to Oregon and went back to Portland State University to gain my B.S in Social Sciences and a minor in Real Estate Development. I was hired at Taurus Homes to work in subdivision development. In 2004, I completed schooling for my real estate license and began selling real estate. I also still have a keen eye for a good property and enjoy flipping homes when there's an opportunity.
I have special training in senior housing and working with seniors. In 2014, I was hired by the national company 55Places.com/Neighborhoods.com to represent them in the Claremont, Summerfield, King City, Highlands, and Charbonneau communities. I have been representing them for 6 years and am one of the top selling agents on the West Coast.
When I'm not working, I enjoy sailing, country western dancing and visiting my past clients with my 2 little Chiweenies - to brighten their day.
My beliefs are to put my client's interest before my own and be completely honest at all times even when it might be difficult. I walk you through the process with easy understandable step by step communications and will always be available for any questions or concerns.
