King City was built in the 1960’s after a collaboration of community designs inspired by Sun City and Woodburn Golf Estates. It is the second largest community in the area with 1090 residences including single family homes, townhomes, and condo’s. The beauty of the community is surrounded by creatively designed open spaces. It lies approximately 30 minutes south of downtown Portland and is about a 60 minute drive to the Portland airport.

There is a fully staffed clubhouse that has a full ballroom, kitchen and several craft rooms. There’s also a library, indoor lawn bowling, wood shop, the new Aquatic Center, and an outdoor pool. King City Civic is the ‘master’ association that oversees and manages the entire community. There are many sub-associations with their own rules and fees. The golf course is open to the public and has an additional fee for the residents.

This is not a gated community, but has the security of the community and friends you’ll make when you live and play here. King City, City Hall and the police are located across the street from the Clubhouse.

Within blocks of the community there’s plenty of shopping, restaurants, pubs, services, etc. that can be accessed by residents in their golf carts.
